Ririe sits where the valley floor meets the foothills, and the ground changes with it: irrigated fields below town, dry-farm bench above, and juniper-and-sage draws running up toward Ririe Reservoir and the Heise side of the river. Clearing here splits between making foothill parcels buildable and cutting the fire fuel back from what's already built.
Glitter Gulch Ground Works covers Ririe, Shelton, and the bench ground above them, half an hour from our Rexburg base. Skid steer, dump trailer, owner on the machine, and a free written estimate on every job: (701) 421-4235.

Juniper is the foothill problem child: it burns hot, spreads seed wide, and takes over a draw a tree at a time until the draw is a fuel bed pointed at somebody's place. We cut and grub juniper and sage back from homes, cabins, and outbuildings, and haul the fuel off, the defensible-space work that fire people beg property owners to do in April instead of regretting in August.
Wind is the other constant on this bench. Cleared ground gets left rough enough to hold, not scraped to a dust source, and windbreak lines you want kept stay kept. It's selective work, and being selective is what a skid steer outfit is good at.
Parcels toward the reservoir and Heise trade on the view, and clearing them is about revealing it without stripping the character: open the building site and the sightline, keep the mature trees that frame it, grind the stumps so the meadow mows clean. Then a grading pass for the pad and a gravel drive that can climb the grade in mud season.
Below town, the irrigated ground runs the standard valley playbook: ditch banks, fence lines, pivot corners, and corrals, cleared, ground, leveled, and hauled clean. One trip, as much of the list as fits.
